Welcome to Karaoke iQ ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at karaokeiq.com, including any related mobile web or progressive web applications (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using Karaoke iQ, creating an account, or subscribing to any paid plan, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Service.

1. User Accounts & Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@karaokeiq.com if you suspect any unauthorized access or security breach regarding your account.

2. Service Tiers & Usage Limits

Karaoke iQ provides both a Free Tier and an optional paid subscription tier ("Karaoke iQ Pro"):

3. Subscriptions, Billing & Cancellation

Recurring Subscription: Karaoke iQ Pro is offered on an automatically recurring subscription basis, available as an annual plan ($34.99/year) or a monthly plan ($4.99/month). All transactions are processed securely through our payment partner, Stripe.

Automatic Renewal: By purchasing a Pro subscription, you authorize Karaoke iQ (via Stripe) to charge the designated payment method on a recurring basis at the start of each billing cycle (monthly or annually) until you cancel.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time by navigating to Settings > Manage Subscription. This opens the secure Stripe Customer Portal where you can manage your payment methods or cancel your plan. When canceled, your Pro access will remain active through the end of your current paid billing period, and no further renewal charges will be made.

Refund Policy & Termination for Cause: Except as explicitly required by applicable law, all subscription fees are non-refundable. If your account, Pro subscription, or access to the Service is suspended, restricted, or permanently terminated due to a violation of these Terms (including, but not limited to, harassment, stalking, spam, hate speech, abusive messaging, or catalog vandalism), you will immediately forfeit any remaining time on your active subscription and will not be entitled to any refund, credit, or prorated reimbursement.

4. User-Generated Content & Public Database Contributions

Users may contribute public content to the Karaoke iQ database, including song metadata, venue listings, karaoke schedules, tags, and performer profiles ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you agree to the following:

• Accuracy & Verification

  You affirm that you have personally verified the accuracy of any venue, schedule, or cruise ship fleet information submitted via official channels.
• Prohibition of Illegal & Unlicensed Activity

  Public venue listings, notes, schedules, and song contributions must not reference, facilitate, or promote unlawful activity, copyright infringement, or the use of software or media sources unlicensed for commercial public performance (including, but not limited to, unauthorized consumer streaming playback in commercial venues).
• Licensing of Public Content

  You grant the legal owner and operators of karaokeiq.com a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, index, adapt, and distribute any public song, venue, or tag information you contribute.

5. Intellectual Property, Trademarks, Trade Dress & Anti-Cloning Policy

Proprietary Ownership & Trademarks: The name Karaoke iQ™, the Karaoke iQ logo, our custom icons, slogans, visual brand identity, domain names, and trade dress are common law and statutory trademarks and service marks of the platform operator. You are strictly prohibited from using, copying, registering, applying to register, or attempting to claim rights in any trademark, service mark, business entity name, domain name, or social media handle that is identical or confusingly similar to "Karaoke iQ."

Software & Design Trade Dress: All software, source code, visual design, user interface (UI) layouts, user experience (UX) workflows, color schemes, typography, database schemas, feature mechanics (including, without limitation, the Wishlist/Sing Soon dual-triage engine, full-screen Show KJ displays, and Cruise Ship Mode), and underlying algorithms are the exclusive intellectual property and proprietary trade dress of Karaoke iQ, protected under United States and international copyright, trade dress, and unfair competition laws.

6. Privacy of Personal Notes & Private Venues

Information you explicitly mark as private—such as private song notes, personal song ratings, preferred key changes, private venue names, and private venue notes—is intended exclusively for your personal use and is shielded from other singers and public activity feeds.

Performances logged at private venues are 100% confidential and are strictly excluded from public performer profiles, public venue pages, friends' activity feeds, and notifications. Platform administrators may access account data solely when necessary for technical support, troubleshooting, or platform security. 7. Prohibited Conduct, Messaging, Squad Chats & Anti-Stalking Policy

You agree not to use the Service, including performer profiles, 1-on-1 direct messaging, squad group chats, shared song/venue cards, friend connections, location tools, or performance logs, to stalk, monitor, surveil, harass, threaten, spam, intimidate, phish, or track the physical location or movements of any person. Direct messaging and squad group creation are restricted to accepted friend connections; sending abusive, defamatory, sexually explicit, fraudulent, or harassing messages is strictly prohibited.

Group chats ("Squad Chats") are limited to up to 15 accepted friends. All group members can view member stage names, send messages, share interactive song/venue cards, and rename the group. Any participant may leave a group chat, unfriend a user, or block communications at any time with immediate effect.

No Duty to Pre-Screen or Monitor: While group and direct messages are programmatically scanned for malicious links and phishing threats, you acknowledge and agree that Karaoke iQ has no obligation to pre-screen, eavesdrop on, or proactively monitor private user-to-user communications in real time. We rely on users to report inappropriate behavior, and we reserve the right to investigate reports, access audit logs, and remove content or ban users that violate these Terms. We cooperate fully with law enforcement in matters involving imminent physical harm, credible threats of violence, or child exploitation.

7. Assumption of Risk & Real-World Offline Interactions

Karaoke iQ is an organizational tool for song repertoires and crowd-sourced venue schedules. We do not screen users or conduct criminal background checks. You are solely responsible for your personal safety, offline interactions, and meetings with other users.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree that Karaoke iQ, its owners, and operators assume no liability or responsibility for any acts, omissions, disputes, harassment, physical harm, emotional distress, or unlawful conduct of any user or third party occurring at any listed venue or real-world karaoke event.

8. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. Real-world karaoke event schedules, hosting days, and operating hours are subject to frequent change by venue management without notice. While our community works to keep information current, Karaoke iQ makes no guarantee that any venue's listed karaoke schedule or equipment will be active upon arrival.
