Enabling Location Services

Troubleshooting GPS permissions in your browser

To get the most out of Karaoke iQ (such as calculating distances to local stages in real time and detecting nearby venues), the app requests permission to access your device's location.

Privacy Promise: Your GPS coordinates are processed strictly in real time on your device. They are never stored on or transmitted to our persistent database servers.

iOS (iPhone & iPad)

1.
Open your device's Settings app.
2.
Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security > Location Services.
3.
Find your browser (Safari, Chrome, or Firefox) in the list.
4.
Select 'While Using the App' or 'Ask Next Time Or When I Share'.
5.
Return to Karaoke iQ and tap 'Locate Me' to activate GPS.

Android

1.
Open your device's Settings app.
2.
Tap Location > App permissions (or Apps > Chrome > Permissions).
3.
Select 'Allow only while using the app'.
4.
Return to Karaoke iQ and tap 'Locate Me' to activate GPS.
